PROGRESSIVE CAVITY PUMPS

The basis of any Progressive Cavity Single Screw Pump is a power section which usually consists of a metal rotor (n-start external helix) and a rubber stator (n+1-start internal helix). Rotation of the rotor inside the stator creates sealed cavities that progressively move from suction to discharge side of the pump producing differential pressure.

The food industry often facing problems with pumping very viscous liquids, as well as the liquids requires maintaining a certain temperature in the process of pumping. SOLTEC ® Company Novomoskovsk Mechanical Plant offers a single-rotor pump unit with the option heating rotor/stator pair and flowing part to solve these problems. To improve the efficiency of the pump it is equipped with a screw feeder. The pump provides protection from "dry run." You can pump a lot of very viscous and non-flowing products like palm oil, chocolate, caramel masses and various fillers for confectionery.

Heating of the screw pair performs multiple functions: maintaining a constant temperature of the product, that is preserving it in a liquid (flowable) state. In case of crystallization of product, it is possible to heat a product up directly in the pump, before pumping.
