CLEAN ENERGY

The basis of any Progressive Cavity Single Screw Pump is a power section which usually consists of a metal rotor (n-start external helix) and a rubber stator (n+1-start internal helix). Rotation of the rotor inside the stator creates sealed cavities that progressively move from suction to discharge side of the pump producing differential pressure.

SOLTEC ® mobile pumps with internal combustion drive

SOLTEC ® company Novomoskovsk Mechanical Plant started up the production of pumps in a mobile version with internal combustion engine as a drive. These units were designed on demand of one of the air companies for using them on the territory of the airport. That’s why it was necessary to design a mobile version not attached to power supply. The pumps are applied for pumping antifrostbitten fluid for treatment the fuselages in winter.

The difficulty of the project was stipulated by characteristics of pumping fluid that was unnewton. That’s why the rotor revolutions in these units are rather low and are regulated by accelerator on the internal combustion engine. The expanding clutch is applied for main pump self-priming and it is installed between engine and drive shaft of the pump.
